Nintendo Starts “Four Seasons of Animal Crossing” Art Contest in Art Academy: SketchPad

Nintendo began a new Art Academy: SkethPad contest today, this time focusing on Animal Crossing: New Leaf and the four seasons players have been enjoying since the game's launch last year.

Nintendo previously held Art Academy contests for the Year of Luigi and for The Legend of Zelda, but participants in the Animal Crossing contest need to follow some rules:

  • Pictures must be drawn using Art Academy: SketchPad (no in-Miiverse submissions!)
  • Pictures must feature at least one character from the Animal Crossing series.
  • Entries are limited to one original work per person.
  • Specify which month you have drawn in the comment field.

You need to comment on Animal Crossing: New Leaf director Aya Kyogoku's Miiverse post to enter and drawings will be judged by Nintendo when the contest ends, either on March 16th or after there are over 1,000 comments in reply to Kyogoku's post.

Kyogoku says "Don't be shy to submit your drawing even if you are not confident in your drawing skills!" There are already some great-looking entries like Miiverse user YuKi's above, but you can hop on your Wii U and submit an entry right now.
