The first Splatfest is set to begin on September 23, 2022, and conclude on September 25, 2022. It will become available at the following times:

  • 5 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time
  • 8 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time
  • 1 a.m. British Summer Time (on September 24)

The Splatfest will conclude at the time on September 25 or 26, depending on your timezone.

Splatfests see players joining a team based on their answer to a question and then representing their chosen answer in online PvP battles. For the first Splatoon 3 Splatfest, players will be asked what they would bring to a deserted island: gear, grub, or fun. They will then fight to see their chosen answer beat out the others, with the winning answer being revealed at the end of the Splatfest competition.

The announcement was made during today’s Nintendo Direct presentation, with the company also confirming that future major Splatoon 3 updates are on their way. Until then, players can spend their time fighting over what the best desert island item would be.
