Secret Invasion Trailer Drops at D23 Expo Marvel Panel

As Marvel Studios push forward with new releases, they look to the future. At D23 Expo during their panel, they unveiled the first trailer for upcoming series Secret Invasion. Set to stream on Disney Plus in 2023, it sees Samuel L. Jackson return to the role of Nick Fury, leading a mission unlike any other we’ve seen in the MCU.

Secret Invasion trailer promises a thrilling ride

Jackson is joined by Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, with Cobie Smulders, Martin Freeman, Don Cheadle, Olivia Colman, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Emilia Clarke, Killian Scott, Christopher McDonald, and Carmen Ejogo also starring. With the Skrulls having infiltrated Earth, and all aspects of life that come with it, it’s up to Fury to try and right the wrongs that they have overseen. Further details surrounding the story are scarce, but if the show follows the lead of the comics, we can expect to see a number of superhero imposters revealed.

Secret Invasion will be made up of six episodes, directed by Thomas Bezucha and Ali Selim. An exact release date hasn’t yet been disclosed, but we do know that the miniseries will make its premiere on the Disney Plus streaming service at some point in 2023, as the second installment to Marvel’s Phase Five.
