Those who have already pre-purchased the PC version of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered on Steam may be entitled to refunds due to a pricing error. The game was incorrectly overpriced in a few regions and Insomniac and Nixxes are encouraging affected players to cancel their pre-orders before grabbing the game again at the lower price.
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered was overpriced in some regions
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered was incorrectly priced in the Australia, Israel, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Switzerland, and UK Steam markets but not in any other regions. The price has now been corrected to a lower amount, but this won’t be automatically changed for those who have already pre-purchased the game. Insomniac and Nixxes have advised that gamers who have already pre-purchased the game in those regions follow these steps to get the lower price:
- Cancel your current pre-purchase of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered on PC to receive a full refund
- Pre-purchase Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered again to receive the corrected lower price point before August 12th to receive early unlock bonuses
No such notice has been posted on the Epic Games Store, which still has the game listed at the higher price. It’s unknown whether this will be adjusted before the game is released on August 12 and neither Insomniac nor Nixxes have made a comment. Those who pre-purchase the game through Steam or Epic Games Store will get bonuses that include early unlocks for the Spider-Drone combat gadget and the Spidey Suit Pack: Iron Spider Suit, Spider-Punk Suit, and the Velocity Suit. There will also be five extra skill points to spend.
In other news, we have a full list of games available on Xbox Game Pass coming into the start of August. Elsewhere, a leaked roster from MultiVersus has revealed more than 30 unannounced characters expected to appear in the game soon.
