Better Call Saul Gets Emmys Nod But Nominations are Led By Succession

Breaking Bad spinoff Better Call Saul has fans gripped after the events of season 6 episode 8. The show has also captured the attention of the three organizations behind the Emmys as Better Call Saul and its cast grab three nominations between them, but the nominations are being led by Succession which has managed to amass a massive 25 nods.

The Emmy nominations for 2022

Squid Game

While Succession may have gotten 25 nominations, there are other shows following closely behind; both Ted Lasso and The White Lotus have managed to accrue 20 nominations each. Meanwhile, amongst the five nominations earned by Squid Game, it became the first non-English language show to be nominated for the Emmys Best Drama Series, which also has nominations for Better Call Saul and Succession.

This time, the Television Academy made no mention of the network or platform that led the list of nominees, but we can confidently say that title goes to HBO and HBO Max, which received 140 nominations overall. Netflix came in second with 105 nominations. The 74th Primetime Emmy Awards will be shown on September 12, so you have plenty of time to guess who might be the winners.
