Ubisoft isn’t known for being able to keep a secret and the latest leak comes from its very own website, which has revealed the release date, Gold Edition, and Season Pass DLC for Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. It seems like the game will be joining the list of titles due to be released during the build-up to the holiday season.
When will Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope be released?
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope will be released on October 20, 2022, if the LATAM version of the Ubisoft Store is to be believed (thanks Reddit). The game will come in two versions — there’s the standard edition and the Gold Edition. The Gold Edition will include a copy of the game, the Season Pass, and the Galactic Prestige Pack, which has three “exclusive and supremely stylish” weapon skins. There aren’t many details about the game’s Season Pass, just that the DLC will include new “additional story content featuring new heroes, quests, and battles.” This content will seemingly be spread between several DLC packs, although the exact number wasn’t specified.
The product page has since been removed, and the page for the standard version does not mention any of the above details. However, the leak has gotten fans hoping for the game to make an appearance during tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct Mini Partner Showcase. While the 25-minute show would leave plenty of opportunities for the game to be shown, it is believed it will avoid the show in favor of its own gameplay showcase the day after, on June 29. Either way, it seems like Ubisoft is planning to make an official announcement at some point later this week.
In other gaming news, Steam Deck shipments are going to double from tomorrow as production is increased. Elsewhere, the aforementioned Nintendo Direct Mini Partner Showcase is expected to feature the Persona franchise and NieR: Automata.
