Following last month’s first look at the upcoming Indiana Jones 5, the hype for the highly-anticipated film continues with the reveal of new collectible merchandise inspired by the popular archeologist’s big screen adventures. Fans of the whip-wielding hero, famously portrayed by Harrison Ford, will have to wait until next summer for the action franchise’s fifth film, but they can satiate their appetite for fortune and glory with a host of new items coming to Disney’s theme parks and shopDisney.com.
Disney theme parks and shopDisney set to sell new Indiana Jones collectibles
The hype for Indiana Jones’ next cinematic romp is officially in full swing. A few week’s back, we got our first look at the film in a still, silhouetted image of the iconic archeologist. Now fans are getting a peek at brand new Indy-inspired merchandise and collectibles coming soon to Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and shopDisney.com. First up, the adventuring professor’s most faithful fans can dress like their hero in a shirt, jacket and, of course, fedora hat based on Indy’s signature, relic-hunting wardrobe.
Even cooler, the new line of goods will include replicas of the ancient items Indy pursues in the films, including the Fertility Idol from Raiders of the Lost Ark, a Sankara Stone from The Temple of Doom, the Holy Grail from The Last Crusade, and the titular treasure from The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The fan-pleasing line of products is due to hit the parks any day now, while shopDisney.com visitors can begin pre-ordering them on June 24th.
Indy’s passionate following can continue expanding their collection this fall, when additional items, including the Staff of Ra headpiece from Raiders and the Indiana Jones voodoo doll from Temple of Doom, are added to the line of merchandise. Beyond the items themselves, each collectible will come in unique packaging and include backstory on the relics from the films, as well as info on their real-world inspirations.
In other news, a new Stranger Things Season 4 Part 2 trailer hints at character deaths and a new Game of Thrones spin-off is in the works.
