Ark 2‘s release date window was revealed during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase 2022, along with it being announced that the survival game will also be available to play day one with Xbox Game Pass.
When is the Ark 2 release date window?
Ark 2 is scheduled to release in 2023, at some point during either Q1 or Q2. The Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase specifically featured games that would be playable within the next 12 months, meaning that we should be able to get our hands on the sequel sooner rather than later.
A brief trailer for Ark 2 was shown during the event, featuring Vin Diesel’s character straddling a dinosaur. There wasn’t much else revealed aside from its release date window and it coming to Game Pass, with some cinematic footage also shown.
Ark 2 was rumored to show up at the event for some time, though Studio Wildcard didn’t bring an awful lot to the presentation. Still, Ark fans knowing roughly when they’ll be able to play the follow-up should be enough to keep them excited for now — even if its release date has slipped slightly, with it previously having been touted for a 2022 launch.
The original Ark became massively popular despite releasing to middling reviews, with its fanbase taking it to one of the most-played multiplayer games out there. As such, there’s plenty of excitement for the sequel, along with plenty of questions regarding how action star Vin Diesel will feature in it. The Fast and Furious actor is also executive producer for the game, with him having the unique job title of “president of creative convergence.”
In other news, Halo Infinite DLC for Microsoft Flight Simulator was revealed. It was also announced that Riot Games would be partnering with Xbox, bringing exclusive deals to the likes of League of Legends and Valorant.
