Accompanying the tweet, Murray released a video showcasing gameplay of No Man’s Sky on the Steam Deck and the features it will include. The most prominent one is full touch-screen controls. Steam Deck support is coming alongside the latest free update for the game Sentinel.

The action-packed update was released on all platforms on Wednesday, February 16. This new update brought huge overhauls to the already ever-changing title. Hello Games says combat has undertaken a complete overhaul, alongside an improved AI system. New story missions and lore to discover were also added. Meanwhile, new weapons are available to add to your arsenal. The developers say they hope Sentinel will “create something much more challenging and exciting.”

No Man’s Sky was originally launched in 2016 for PS4 and PC. The game was met with huge criticism. Since then, the developers have released numerous updates to improve things. No Man’s Sky will launch on another handheld device later this year, as a Nintendo Switch port is expected in the summer.

Steam Deck is a portable PC produced by Valve. The console was originally due out in Winter 2021 but was later delayed to this year. The base model of Steam Deck will cost $399, with the highest price model costing nearly $649. Currently, no more stock is not available for launch. However, fans can sign up for the opportunity to reserve a console when they become available. The website says order availability is expected to be “after Q2 2022” (after June 30).

In other news, Nintendo confirms the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS eShop is to be discontinued. Xbox has added eight new titles to its popular service Game Pass.
