The Gunk PC

The Gunk Heads to Other PC Platforms After Xbox Game Pass Success

Story-driven sci-fi exploration title The Gunk will be coming to Steam and “other PC platforms” after a successful release on Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, and the Microsoft Store for PC. Xbox players will also get a photo mode and additional language support soon.

When is The Gunk PC release date?

The Gunk will be released on Steam and “other PC platforms” in spring 2022, although those other platforms weren’t specified. Since the game’s launch on Xbox Game Pass, it has received positive critical acclaim and attracted “hundreds of thousands” of players. Because of this, Xbox players will soon be able to make use of a new photo mode where they can take and edit photos before sharing them online. In addition to photo mode, the update will also add language support for four new languages: Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, simplified Chinese, and Russian. The update will arrive on Xbox soon and will be included in the game on PC when it is released in the spring.

The game tells the story of Rani, a space hauler who arrives on a mysterious and seemingly pristine planet full of valuable resources. Together with partner Becks, the aim is to grab as much loot as they can sell to pay off their debts, but the planet has other ideas. Secrets of a shattered civilization lie deep within caves and a toxic gunk parasite threatens to destroy the planet, meaning now they have to save the planet too.

In other news, Pokemon Legends: Arceus has managed to achieve a positive user score on Metacritic, the first for a mainline Pokemon title in nearly ten years. The achievement is thought to be because of the game’s switch to an open world. Elsewhere, the launch of Lost Ark was delayed by a few hours after players overwhelmed the game’s servers.
