Spencer: A New Platformer From Rare “Would Be Great”

Fans of Rare-developed platformers like Banjo-Kazooie and Conker's Bad Fur Day have been clamoring for a new 3D platformer from the studio ever since the days of Nintendo 64. On Xbox One, they may just get their wish.

According to a post on Twitter by Microsoft's Phil Spencer, there may be hope for those longing for a revival of the 3D platformer, as he's clearly interested in seeing the studio bring one to market.

This is hardly confirmation that a 3D platformer is in the works at Rare, but at least there's a shred of hope Banjo fans like myself can cling to. Would you like to see a new Banjo or Conker on Xbox One? Does Rare still have enough talent around to make a solid platformer? Comment below with your thoughts.
