Fortnite Ghostbusters 2021

New Fortnite x Ghostbusters collab coming this month, with quests and skins

It looks like a new Fortnite Ghostbusters 2021 event is coming to Epic’s battle royale this month as part of the Fortnitemares Halloween celebration. Fans may remember that there was a Fortnite Ghostbusters Afterlife collab last October too, and it seems like this will be returning in the next week or so — complete with new Fortnite Ghostbusters skins, items, and special quests to get free gifts and XP.

The latest Ghostbusters x Fortnite event has been leaked by dataminers and looks like it’ll be coming as part of Fortnite version 18.21. As the new Ghostbusters event will be part of the Fortnitemares Halloween celebration it has to happen before October 31, so it’s likely to go live later this week or early next week.

Last year there was a similar Ghostbusters collaboration in Fortnite along with male and female skin packs and various bits of Ghostbusters gear, as well as Ecto-1 hidden under a tarp on the map as seen in the first Ghostbusters Afterlife trailer. With the movie delayed due to the pandemic and now finally due out next month, Fortnite has brought back the Ghostbusters collab — and dataminers have uncovered a set of new Ghostbusters-themed quests, along with free items to be earned and presumably new skins to be picked up. At least one new Ghostbusters NPC seems to be coming, for example.

The Ghostbusters event will appear in Fortnite within the next two weeks, likely either today or later this week and probably alongside the Dune movie collaboration skins including Paul Atreides (Timothy Chalamet) and Chani (Zendaya) — There’s also the rumored Spider-Man event coming soon if further leaks are to be believed, and the confirmed The Batman Who Laughs skin too with the next Batman/Fortnite crossover comic coming on October 27.

Ghostbusters Afterlife will release on November 18.
