A load of Destiny 2: The Witch Queen leaks have revealed a ton of details about the next Destiny expansion, including the release date, possible price, and the existence of a massive new deluxe edition of the game. The Destiny 2: The Witch Queen release date was down for next year, but the exact date in 2022 and all these other details were supposed to be revealed in a Destiny 2 stream by Bungie today. The leaks for Destiny 2: The Witch Queen reveals the release date, story details, and everything included in the new deluxe edition of the game to accompany the expansion — and the price of this special edition. This is all thanks to the PlayStation Store (via Destiny 2 News on Twitter), which accidentally updated with a full page for The Witch Queen deluxe edition and giving details on the first proper expansion since Beyond Light came out.

The expansion will include the new area of Savathûn’s Throne World, which includes such locations as a palace and a swamp, with players heading there to finally learn about a character who has been teased since Destiny 2 began — and how Savathûn and the Lucent Hive stole the Light. Players will be able to craft the new Glaive weapon, amongst other new custom weaponry and combinations.

The price shown below is from the Australian PS Store at $119.95, but the US price will most likely come in at around the $69.99 to $79.99 mark. The Deluxe Edition will include Seasons 16-19, two Year 5 dungeons, an exotic SMG, catalyst, ornament, and an exotic sparrow. The full reveal of Destiny 2: The Witch Queen will appear on Bungie’s stream later today.

The release date for Destiny 2: The Witch Queen expansion is February 23, 2022, according to the PlayStation Store. This is also the release date for the new Deluxe Edition of the game that includes the expansion.
