The movie is almost exactly two years away, but director David Sandberg has revealed the brand new Shazam: Fury of the Gods costumes for the entire returning cast of heroes. The director released the Shazam 2 new costumes photo on Twitter in order to get ahead of leaks — such as what happened this weekend with The Flash movie, as Supergirl movie costume leaks revealed her outfit well before the official reveal.
New Shazam: Fury of the Gods costumes revealed by director David Sandberg
Director David F. Sandberg, or @ponysmasher on Twitter, posted a set pic taken by himself showing the entire Shazam: Fury of the Gods movie cast in their brand new costumes. The new outfits are a significant upgrade from the original Shazam movie suits (above), with Mary (Michelle Borth, in red) receiving perhaps the biggest improvement, complete with an almost Wonder Woman-style skirt. Pedro (D.J. Catrona) has changed colors completely, from light green to an almost Black Adam-style suit.
Don’t know how long we can keep the new suits from leaking so here’s a pic I took the other day pic.twitter.com/41wStJ6oe2

The director posted this to get ahead of any possible leaks, of which there had been a few already, but none as significant as this weekend where the entire Supergirl outfit from next year’s The Flash movie was leaked through set pics. Director Andy Muschietti had posted a tease of the suit last week on Instagram, but now leaks have revealed the whole thing before an official reveal. Injustice 2 writer Tom Taylor posted a comparison between Sasha Calle’s Supergirl and the version he created alongside artist Bruno Redondo for the Injustice comic series, as the similarity is indeed uncanny.
In 2014, @Bruno_Redondo_F and I created a new #Supergirl, Lara Lane Kent.
And… well, Sasha Calle as Supergirl is uncanny. pic.twitter.com/xXWgbQYLvo— Tom Taylor (@TomTaylorMade) June 20, 2021
Shazam: Fury of the Gods releases June 1, 2023, and The Flash movie featuring Sasha Calle’s Supergirl releases November 4, 2022. A Supergirl movie is planned as a spin-off from the character’s appearance in The Flash, although fans are concerned it may end up as a cheaper streaming-only feature. As for the Man of Steel himself, a potential movie reboot is already upsetting fans, although the currently-airing Superman & Lois TV series is proving far more popular. He’ll also be playable in Fortnite very soon, and here’s how to unlock Superman when he’s available.
