Players will soon be able to represent any NBA team in Fortnite. The battle royale game’s latest collaboration adds 30 National Basketball Association skins — one for each team in the league. Fortnite x NBA: The Crossover will also introduce the Hookshot Emote and Mini Hoop Back Bling.
How to unlock the Fortnite x NBA Outfits, Back Bling, and Emote
To unlock the Fortnite x NBA outfits, Back Bling, and emote, players will want to visit the Item Shop on May 21 at 8 PM ET.
Players can purchase the In The Paint Set to receive 31 National Basketball Association uniforms, representing all 30 of the league’s teams. The Shoot & Score Pack includes the Hookshot Emote and Mini Hoop Back Bling, which can feature any NBA team logo.
There’s no word on pricing just yet, so be sure to check the Item Shop this Friday. Before purchasing, it might be worth signing up to participate in the upcoming Fortnite x NBA Team Battles; there’s a chance to win some V-Bucks that could help offset the cost. Players can also earn an NBA Spray and Banner by completing three challenges, along with the Championship Trophy Back Bling for being on the winning team.
Fortnite x NBA: The Crossover doesn’t end there, though. Starting next week, NBA Locker Bundles will also land in the Item Shop. Utah Jazz player Donovan Mitchell and the Atlanta Hawks’ Trae Young will both launch Locker Bundles featuring their personal favorite Outfits, Harvesting Tools, Emotes, and more.
The players have personally built the Locker Bundles themselves, which consist of existing in-game items rather than new and exclusive cosmetics. It’s an interesting twist on the usual formula that can offer insight into celebrities’ tastes and personalities. Take MCU star Brie Larson’s colorful bundle, for example.
Until the Fortnite x NBA collab kicks off on May 21, why not check out some of the latest news in gaming? TLoU2 is (sorta) getting a PS5 upgrade, while CoD: Warzone just got a Die Hard crossover.
