Zack Snyder reveals first picture from cut Justice League Green Lantern scene

The first picture of actor Wayne T. Carr playing John Stewart in the rumored cut Zack Snyder’s Justice League Green Lantern scene has been leaked by the director.

Despite being four hours long and billed as the definitive uncut vision of the Justice League movie, Zack Snyder was forced by Warner Bros to remove a scene featuring John Stewart’s Green Lantern. Artwork and behind-the-scenes shots of Carr filming have leaked, but this is the first actual shot of Green Lantern in the Snyder Cut that has been revealed.

What is the leaked Zack Snyder’s Justice League Green Lantern picture?

The picture of Wayne T. Carr in the cut Zack Snyder’s Justice League John Stewart Green Lantern was revealed by Zack Snyder in a recent Q&A while promoting his latest movie Army of the Dead. When asked about the scene, Snyder pulled out his phone and revealed the picture to the audience. It was then reposted by @IshaanSangha on Twitter:

The proposed Snyder Cut Green Lantern scene would have been the final part of the movie, where Wayne T. Carr’s John Stewart approaches Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne and offers his support against the coming attack by Darkseid — which would have occurred in the planned Justice League 2. Warner Bros objected to the inclusion of John Stewart since there is a Green Lantern Corps HBO Max series in the works which may feature him, so he was replaced with Harry Lennix’s Martian Manhunter.

Further video of Zack Snyder revealing the Green Lantern image was also shared on Twitter:

Zack Snyder’s Justice League comes out on Blu-ray on May 24, so it is possible that the Green Lantern scene may be included as a special feature. Alternatively, Warner Bros may let Zack Snyder release the scene on social media instead. Until then, this shot is the best look fans have at John Stewart’s Green Lantern in a live-action movie.

As for Zack Snyder’s latest movie Army of the Dead, it’s currently beating the Snyder Cut as the director’s highest-rated movie on Rotten Tomatoes and will be released on Netflix on May 21.
