Black Ops Cold War Gunfight Tournament bug robs players of rewards

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players are encountering a particularly nasty glitch in Gunfight Tournaments. While waiting for games to conclude before proceeding to the next match, users are receiving eliminations for no good reason. The problem can even occur after becoming the tournament champion and rob winning players of their earnings. Naturally, this CoD: Black Ops Cold War Gunfight Tournament bug is causing major frustration within the community.

Due to the frequency with which the issue is occurring, Treyarch is likely aware of and working to fix the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Gunfight Tournament bug. Currently, there’s no known workaround and players need to wait on a new CoD: BOCW update.

While glitches are never ideal, this problem happening in Gunfight Tournament mode is particularly inconvenient. It can take a while to sign up to participate, then there’s often a lot of waiting between rounds. Enduring lengthy bouts of downtime, winning, then having an error strip away any earnings is a potent recipe for rage.

In GameRevolution’s recent testing, the issue reared its ugly head in three out of three Gunfight Tournaments. The images in this article are from the same match, with one correctly displaying the winner and the other displaying inaccurate results. This isn’t just a visual glitch, as there were no rewards for claiming victory.

Hopefully, Activision and Treyarch will be quick to issue a CoD: Black Ops Cold War Gunfight Tournament bug fix in the next patch. Stay tuned for updates as the situation develops.
