Outriders lost items glitch

Outriders inventory wipe bug is deleting players’ items (again)

Outriders is currently enjoying a successful launch, in terms of player numbers, though some major issues are causing headaches. Most notably, there’s a devastating inventory wipe bug deleting users’ weapons and armor. Regardless of the rarity, class, and whether or not users actively equip items, all gear is eligible for deletion. But, is there an Outriders lost items glitch fix? Here’s the latest, straight from publisher Square Enix.

Outriders lost items glitch fix is incoming

Square Enix is already aware of the Outriders bug that’s causing players to lose all inventory items. The inventory wipe glitch is under active investigation, and players can leave feedback in order to help out. An Outriders update containing a solution to the disappearing gear issue will release in due course.

Those that played the Outriders demo might already be familiar with this annoying problem. People Can Fly apparently identified and fixed the issue in its pre-release trial, promising affected players that any missing Legendary gear will be restored. Any weapons and armor more common than that, however, will forever remain lost to the digital void.

Obviously, the solution wasn’t foolproof. The dev team said it “[believes] that the issue has been prevented going forward” when releasing the initial patch. Now, on Outriders’ launch day, it’s back with a vengeance and seemingly affecting players across all platforms.

Unfortunately, there’s also an Outriders Accolade wipe glitch. In much the same way, this bug is deleting players’ progress towards all of the in-game Accolades. Accolades are achievement-style tasks that offer users cosmetic rewards upon completion. Hopefully, it won’t be long until a new Outriders patch fixes this issue as well.

The launch woes don’t end there, though. Due to high demand, many players are encountering a range of connectivity errors on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.

Fortunately, there are solutions to some of the most common problems. Click the relevant links for help with broken matchmaking, the endless login screen, and failing to connect to the servers.
