Praise the sun! The recent Fortnite live event teased plenty of upcoming content, with one of the more obscure references potentially relating to Dark Souls’ Solaire of Astora. Naturally, that has fans of both franchises excited about a possible Fortnite x Dark Souls collaboration. A Solaire skin and an in-game Praise the Sun emote are the speculative frontrunners for new Item Shop additions.
Fortnite x Dark Souls | Solaire skin and Praise the Sun emote incoming?
Fortnite’s recent live event showcased some of the Season 6 Battle Pass content that players will be looking to earn over the coming months. Less overt, however, were some of the hidden references surrounding the event. Perhaps most excitingly, for just a brief moment, a figure standing in the iconic “Praise the Sun” stance was visible. This in-game emote gained fame after players first encountered the enthusiastic Solaire of Astora NPC in the original Dark Souls.
Observant players caught a glimpse of what appears to be Solaire of Astora from Dark Souls during the Fortnite live event. At one point, a distant silhouette seemingly performs the Souls series’ recurring Praise the Sun emote. Although it isn’t possible to make any features out, many fans have taken this to be Solaire in an apparent Fortnite x Dark Souls crossover tease.

Fortnite has been integrating video games collabs more and more frequently in recent times. Lara Croft arrived during the very same event, while Ryu and Chun-Li from Street Fighter came shortly beforehand. Considering that Bandai Namco has also shown willingness to collaborate with the Solaire character, Dark Souls x Fortnite could happen. In 2018, Solaire (in his famous Praise the Sun pose) appeared as an amiibo figure to coincide with the Nintendo Switch launch of Dark Souls Remastered.
