As explained in the patch notes above, which were published on the official EA website, the new update greatly enhances backwards compatibility performance for next-gen consoles.
Players who are enjoying the game for the first time on a next-gen system, or veterans who are revisiting the game after a PS5 or Xbox Series X|S upgrade, will no doubt enjoy the significant enhancements implemented on the more powerful hardware.
As an action game, the increased frame-rate will help players react quickly to enemy attacks, while also giving an overall smoother feel to gameplay. The higher output resolution will make for a sharper presentation, which will be especially noticeable on large, 4K displays.
