Apex Legends Winter Express LTE train

Apex Legends reveals big changes for Winter Express LTE

The Apex Legends Winter Express LTE is going to have some big changes for Holo-Day Bash 2020. The beloved holiday train is returning once again, but it won’t be quite the same — some new additions are going to give players a better chance at capturing the objective.

Apex Legends players have been enjoying the new Season 7 content, although not everyone was happy with the changes that have been made. Despite these problems, Respawn Entertainment nonetheless surprised players with new items like the Gibraltor Heirloom. Now, an even bigger set of surprises are in store for the upcoming Apex Legends Holo-Day Bash event.

How the Apex Legends Winter Express LTE is changing for the better

Previously, the Apex Legends Winter Express LTE was a pretty straightforward experience. Players would have to capture a train that moved in a circle around the map. The first squad to capture the train three times won the game. Unfortunately, it wasn’t so easy to get on the train in the first place — and it was even harder to get back onto the train if your squad fell off or was knocked out.

Now, an official blog post has revealed some new additions to the Winter Express. To start, a brand-new station has popped up on the map, adding another challenge for players on the train to overcome while giving everyone else an additional chance to hop back on. The much bigger addition, however, is in the skies: the floating resupply platforms from King’s Canyon are now spread throughout the skies (and decked out with some festive holiday decorations, to boot).

The new holiday-themed resupply platforms aren’t just there for show. If a player’s squad is knocked out, they will respawn on their very own dedicated platform. This will give the squad a bird’s eye view of the entire map, giving them another chance to capture the Holo-Day train for themselves. Players can enjoy these new changes (and some new cosmetics, natch) when the Apex Legends Holo-Day Base launches on all platforms on December 1, 2020.
