Check Out Charizard’s Two Mega Evolution Forms In New Pokémon X & Y Trailer

We're now less than two weeks away from the launch of Pokémon X & Y, and as quite the Pokéfanatic, I must admit, this 26 year-old man is quite hyped for Game Freak's latest creation.

But what's really got an old school Pokémon fan like myself excited is the new Mega Evolutions and how they bring a refreshing twist to some of the classic monsters from the original 151. Take Charizard for example, who is one of the most iconic creatures from the first generation of the series. He has two different Mega Evolutions, as detailed in the trailer below.

Should you choose to equip him with Charizardite X, he'll evolve into Mega Charizard X, but should you choose to give him Charizardite Y, well… I think you get the picture. Mega Charizard X is a fire and dragon-type creature with increased attack power, while Mega Charizard Y gets a boost in its special attack, raising the overall strength of its fire-type moves.

Which of the two Mega Evolutions do you prefer? Also, which Pokémon is your all-time favorite? Be sure to let us know in the comments below, and don't forget, Pokémon X & Y launches on October 12th, exclusively for 3DS.
