PS5 reveal date 2020 multiple sources

The PS5 reveal date is coming sooner than you think

It seems like our long period of waiting may be over very soon: the PS5 reveal date has been confirmed by multiple reliable sources. Barring any problems, we may be getting our first look at the PlayStation 5 reveallot sooner than we might have hoped.

According to Bloomberg’s Takashi Mochizuki and Jason Schreier, “people with direct knowledge of the matter” have confirmed that Sony is going to be kicking off a digital event in early June 2020 which will show off several new games for Sony’s upcoming console.

That’s not all, though. Independently of Bloomberg’s report, VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb noted the same date on Twitter for his long list of upcoming summer gaming events. That makes for some very good odds between these two outlets and three reporters.

However, some facts still remain uncertain. Bloomberg’s reporting notes that it’s still not sure whether or not we will actually get to see the console itself. It’d certainly be a strange omission at an event showcasing a bunch of new games, but it’s hard to say for certain how things will turn out.

In any case, it looks like the PS5 reveal date may very well be on June 3, 2020 (June 4, 2020, in Japan). We’re sure to see some games — let’s hope we get a look at the console, too.
