If you were hoping to see The Elder Scrolls 6 details sometime this year, you’re probably going to be disappointed. Bethesda’s Pete Hines says any details on The Elder Scrolls 6 are “years away,” and the cancellation of any possible digital Bethesda E3 2020 means we probably won’t be hearing about Starfield anytime soon, either.
Bethesda’s Senior VP of Global Marketing and Communications was asked outright on Twitter to “cut the s***” and give up some information on the next Elder Scrolls game as highlighted on ResetEra. Unfortunately, his answer was rather disappointing for fans hoping to see something, anything.

“[The Elder Scrolls 6 is] after Starfield, which you pretty much know nothing about,” Pete Hines said in a response on Twitter. “So if you’re coming at me for details now and not years from now, I’m failing to properly manage your expectations.”
@DansGaming subsequently stated in a reply that he was anxious to see the big reveal for Starfield. Regrettably, Hines gave a rather vague answer regarding that game, too.
“Someday, Dan. Someday,” Pete Hines replied.
So there you have it. If you were hoping for The Elder Scrolls 6 details to be revealed sometime this year, it doesn’t look very likely — and we probably won’t be seeing much about Starfield, either.
