Xbox Fitness Coming To Xbox One, Requires Subscription

A page on the official Xbox website has went live with plans that Microsoft will be releasing something called Xbox Fitness on the Xbox One. The service provides access to various fitness programs, such as P90X and Insanity, among others from other well known fitness experts like Jillian Michaels and Tracy Anderson.

Using Kinect, Xbox Fitness will be able to track your "form, power, and heart rate" and provide feedback based on your performance. It will also feature social challenges to keep up motivation.

This all sounds quite impressive, but comes with a major catch. It appears that the plan for Xbox Fitness is to offer it for free with any Xbox LIVE Gold membership until November 2014, but after that it'll require a separate Xbox Fitness subscription to access. The promotional period being a way to get people to try and possibly hook them, as well as another feature for Microsoft to boast about during the Xbox One launch.

Initial reports claim this Xbox Fitness web page leaked early and there hasn't been any official announcement for Xbox Fitness. But the web page is still live as of this writing, so we're unsure if the page was intended to wait for such an announcement by Microsoft or not.
