World War Z game free Epic Games Store

Surprise World War Z giveaway brings more fun for the weekend

The Epic Games Store has been releasing free games for more than a year, but they still have the ability to surprise us. This week’s batch of gratis games include the World War Z game for free, a cool surprise that wasn’t announced in advance — and World War Z isn’t all that’s coming!

Last week, the Epic Games Store announced that Figment and Torment x Punisher would be their free games starting today. Both of those games are indeed available, but they quietly added another title: World War Z.

If you haven’t played the game before, the World War Z game free giveaway is a great time to get into it. Players have to fight off hordes of hundreds of zombies a la Left 4 Dead through the use of smart tactics and a heck of a lot of bullets.

All three of these games will be available on the Epic Games Store from now until April 2, 2020, at 11:00 AM EDT, after which they’ll be replaced with Gone Home and Hob.
