World War Z developer Saber Interactive has been acquired by the Embracer Group (formerly THQ Nordic) for a rumored $375 million.
Game Informer reports that the deal has gone through. The exact pricing of the deal has not yet been revealed, but it’s stated to go as high as the maximum of $375 million.

Saber Interactive has had a measure of success outside of their role as the World War Z developer. While their co-op zombie survival game has done pretty well by selling a million copies, they also have the recent Nintendo Switch port of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to their credit.
Embracer Group’s founder and CEO Lars Wingefors emphasizes that Saber Interactive will still be able to operate independently in their new role as a subsidiary of the company, noting that this has been key to the success of many other developers acquired in similar situations.
