PS5 reveal date cover

PS5 reveal date will likely follow the PS4 playbook

When is the PS5 reveal date? According to Sony, we should expect to get our first look at the PlayStation 5 in the same manner as we did the PS4.

GamesRadar reported on a recent financial call featuring Sony executives. Unsurprisingly, one of the topics of discussion was the PS5, and when we could expect to get the next-gen console. Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Hiroki Totoki stated that the PS5 would be shown “when the time is right,” although that’s not all he had to say on the matter.

“It’s very difficult to really discuss this timing-wise,” Hiroki Totoki said, “but as of today, we will provide the guidance at a time period which is comparable to the past. So we will not change the time schedule.”

If they follow the same plan for the PS4, we should expect to hear the PS5 reveal date soon. Sony unveiled the PS4 at E3, although we first heard some more details  about the console in February of that same year. Hopefully that means we’ll be hearing some good news soon!
