Resident Evil 3 Nemesis Trailer

New Resident Evil 3 trailer highlights Nemesis himself

Today, Capcom dropped a surprise new trailer for Resident Evil 3 remake that gave us a closer look at Nemesis. The iconic Tyrant has been updated for the remake, and the trailer shows the redesign isn’t just graphical in nature. In the Resident Evil 3 remake, it appears that Nemesis will have new weapons at his disposal and will be an overall more threatening enemy than he was in the original.

One of the significant additions to Nemesis’s arsenal we can see in the trailer is a giant flamethrower. Strangely, this weapon looks a lot like the Gatling gun Nemesis carried in Resident Evil: Apocalypse and might be a bit of an homage to that design.

We also got to see more of the Umbrella Biological Containment Service (UBSC) members that makeup part of Resident Evil 3‘s cast. Nikolai, Mikhail, and Carlos seem to be filling their familiar roles. However, Tyrell Patrick and Murphy Seeker, who were only seen momentarily in the original, seem to have expanded stories in the remake.

Hunters will be returning in Resident Evil 3 remake as well. These reptilian-human hybrid BOWs are some of the deadliest enemies in the franchise. Those who have played the original know how dangerous Hunters can be, with their ability to one-hit kill you when you’re in Caution health status. It looks like once again, the hospital will be their main haunt. Still, we may see them, and their cousins, the amphibious Hunter Gamma, in other Raccoon City locations as well.

There’s a lot to unpack in this new trailer, and the above info is just the tip of the iceberg. New story sequences, locations, and enemy behaviors make it seem like the changes in Resident Evil 3 remake will be drastic in comparison to RE2 remake.

We’ll get to find out all the changes for ourselves when Resident Evil 3 remake releases on April 3, 2020, on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
