refurbished SNES NES classics Nintendo

Refurbished SNES and NES Classics now available from Nintendo

Some of the hottest gaming hardware over the past holiday seasons has been Nintendo’s series of Classic mini consoles. As fans are likely aware, only so many of the miniaturized NES Classic and SNES Classics were produced, which helped in making them hot ticket items. However, now that production of the mini consoles has ceased, they’ve since become very hard to find and even more expensive to buy. Thankfully, that should no longer be the case, as Nintendo has begun selling refurbished NES and SNES Classic systems straight from its own Nintendo Store.

This is good news for players who missed these tiny consoles the first time around. Not only do potential buyers no longer have to search high and low for the much-revered NES Classic console, they won’t have to break their bank in order to purchase one. Even better, Nintendo’s refurbished systems earn almost universal praise for quality. That means there should be no concern about scars, smells, faulty wiring, or any of the other problems commonly associated with refurbished electronics.

Still, the best part of this new deal has to be the price these refurbished systems sell for. A refurbished NES Classic sells for $49.99, which is ten dollars less than the original MSRP and $40 less than what GameStop currently charges for pre-owned NES Classics. On the other hand, a refurbished SNES Classic sells for $69.99, which is ten dollars under the original MSRP and a whopping $50 less than GameStop currently charges for a pre-owned version.

The refurbished NES and SNES Classics come with all of the bells and whistles, too, including controllers, cables, and AC adapters. They also include Nintendo’s standard one-year warranty, which is added piece of mind for shoppers who prefer to buy electronics new. If you’ve been in the market for a mini Nintendo console to add to your collection, now is the time to finally pick one up.
