gamescom Announces Official 2013 Award Winners

Before we begin looking ahead to PAX Prime (which we’ll be live in attendance), gamescom has announced its official list of award winners, closing out a week of breaking news coming from the annual industry event in Cologne, Germany where we saw such announcements as the PS4 release date, some Xbox One timed-exclusives, and more. 64 total products were nominated, eventually being narrowed down to one winner across each of sixteen categories. The winners and their respective categories are below.

Star Citizen is an upcoming space trading and combat simulator video game for Microsoft Windows. Star Citizen will consist of two main components: first person space combat and trading in a massively multiplayer persistent universe and customizable private servers (known as Star Citizen), and a branching single-player game (known as Squadron 42).
