Ghost of Tsushima teases us with a tantalizing trailer

The last State of Play presentation of the year closed out with Ghost of Tsushima, a hotly-anticipated game being developed by Sucker Punch Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It was just a bit of a teaser, but we won’t have to wait too long to hear more about Ghost of Tsushima, either.

If you’re unfamiliar with this particular game, it’s a PlayStation exclusive that’s all set to come out sometime in 2020. It tells the tale of Jin Saka, a samurai who is learning how to be an even deadlier warrior as he tries to combat a Mongol invasion.

The trailer we got to see was rather short. A handful of Mongols walked along a road until they saw a figure emerge in the distance. Calling out “samurai”, the Mongols and the samurai drew their swords. The Mongols charged, the samurai threw a smoke bomb, and… that’s where the trailer ended. You’ll be able to catch the rest by watching The Game Awards on December 12, 2019. In the meantime, you can check out the short teaser by watching the State of Play presentation on YouTube starting at 25:41 below.
