Dreams PS4 release date leak purple

Dreams PS4 release date may have just leaked

The Dreams PS4 release date may have just leaked on Twitter. If you’ve been looking forward to the strange game creation system known as Dreams, it seems that you won’t have to wait too long to get your hands on it, as it may very well be releasing early next year.

If you’re unfamiliar with Dreams, it’s a pretty neat game created by British gaming studio Media Molecule. Well, “game” might not be the right descriptor here — it would perhaps be more accurate to call it software that lets you make games. The Dreams Creator Early Access version has been out since April of this year, but the full game has not yet arrived. Now, a leak from a retailer indicates that the Dreams PS4 release date will be February 14, 2020.

“Dreams release date announced and releasing only on PlayStation on the 14th February 2020!” reads a now-deleted tweet (since archived) from U.K. retailer ShopTo, and the first reputable storefront to announce the Dreams PS4 release date (albeit likely a bit early).

Mind, it’s entirely possible that this Dreams PS4 release date announcement is a mistake. However, several key facts hint towards its veracity. The first is that it was a “dlvr.it” link, a sort of blog publishing system that automatically pushes out content from platforms like WordPress when ordered or scheduled. Secondly, the tweet has since been deleted, so it seems that this information may have been let out a bit earlier than it was supposed to be.

Whether we’re getting Dreams on Valentine’s Day in 2020 or some other time, it’s shaping up to be an interesting experience. Sony wants to keep this game going for at least a decade so, whenever it does come out, it’s sure to be around for a very long time.
