Ever wanted to be a superhero? Well, the One Punch Man game custom hero feature has just been announced in a brand-new trailer from Bandai Namco Entertainment! What’s more, a One Punch Man closed beta has also been announced for the lucky few players who can get in.
The closed beta announce trailer for One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows somewhat surprisingly doesn’t focus on the closed beta until the very end. Instead, it shows us some brand-new features in the game, one of which is a character creator that lets you make your very own hero.

Judging by what we can see in the trailer, the One Punch Man game custom hero feature seems pretty robust. You can pick from men or women and adjust your character’s height, physique, face, and other features that are obscured by a caption on the video. Each item can be set to one or two of 238 preset colors, and characters will have several options for clothing including upper body, lower body, feet, and two accessories. Some of the options are locked, and the menu looks like it can scroll down, too; seems safe to say we’re going to get a pretty robust character creator.
You won’t just create a hero to fight in the game, either. Your custom hero will be set loose onto the world to talk with other heroes and pick up quests. You’ll even be able to fight together with everyone from lauded S-Class heroes like Tatsumaki to lowly C-Class heroes like Mumen Rider.
Aside from the One Punch Man game custom hero feature, a closed beta has also been announced. It will be taking place from November 1 through November 3, 2019, and you’ll have to sign up by or before October 16 to get a chance at participating. Unfortunately, the sign-up page for the closed beta isn’t quite live, but you can check in later to see if it’s opened.
Information on the exact start times or platforms for the closed beta isn’t yet available. Judging by the trailer, it seems like it will at least be coming to the PS4 and Xbox One; the potential for a PC closed beta is uncertain at this time. In any case, you’ll be able to get your hands on One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows sometime in 2020.
