Xbox Game Pass Spotify Premium October 2019

Xbox Game Pass adds Spotify Premium, 6 new games coming soon

Xbox Game Pass has gotten a serious upgrade. One of the available packages now includes a few months of Spotify Premium along with all of the other cool benefits that you get from Microsoft’s subscription service. The deal has been made even sweeter with the announcement of the Xbox Game Pass October 2019 games which include World War ZDishonored 2, and four other great games!

Spotify Premium comes to Xbox Game Pass

Although several games are being added to Xbox Game Pass this month, a particularly appealing bonus has been added to the service as well: Spotify Premium.

There are several important caveats to mention about the addition of Spotify Premium to Xbox Game Pass. To start, this is a limited-time offer—the bonus subscription to the music streaming service won’t necessarily be made a permanent addition to the Xbox Game Pass bundle.

Secondly, there are a limited number of codes for Spotify Premium to go around—the fine print says “while supplies last.” Microsoft probably has a good idea of how much demand it’ll be expecting, but we can’t say for sure how long we’ll have until supplies run out. The codes also won’t necessarily be delivered right away, and the fine print also notes that it could take up to 10 business days for you to actually receive your Spotify Premium code, with the company stating that all codes should be delivered by March 2020.

Additionally, Spotify Premium will also only be available to new customers. If you’ve been a member of Xbox Game Pass for a while now, you won’t be able to get in on this deal.

And for the last bit, there is the financial element: Spotify Premium is only available in the “Ultimate” Game Pass package that combines access to PC and the Xbox One libraries of games. New customers will still be able to get it at an introductory price of $2 for two months, but then it will jump up to its full price. Spotify, of course, will also increase its price to $9.99 a month once your 6-month code runs out (unless you cancel it).

Spotify Premium aside, Xbox Game Pass is also adding five new games to their service!

October’s New Additions to Game Pass

The new additions to Xbox Game Pass for October 2019 are going to be entirely Xbox One releases this time around. Kicking things off is Dishonored 2 where you once again take on the role of the superpowered assassin Corvo Attano.

Dishonored 2 is followed up by two games launching on the same day. World War Z brings back the zombie shooter in style and somehow manages to be a pretty decent game that’s based off of the terrible film adaptation of Max Brooks’ book of the same name. You’ll also be able to get the adorable Kickstarter-funded puzzle platformer Yooka-Laylee if gory horror stuff isn’t your thing.

Finally, the three remaining games will all be launching on the same day later in the month. Felix The Reaper is a 3D puzzle game where the titular character can manipulate shadows to make cool stuff happen. It will be joined by the classic Obsdian first-person shooter RPG Fallout: New Vegas and the dragon-riding epic Panzer Dragoon Orta.
