PlayStation online store

PlayStation online store launches, sells physical games, consoles, and accessories

Starting today, you can purchase PlayStation consoles, games, and accessories directly from the PlayStation online store. The new digital storefront is seamlessly integrated with the PlayStation.com website, enabling users to easily jump from information pages to purchasing the corresponding item or game.

The store is currently only available for clients in the United States, featuring a range of products that includes PS4, PS4 Pro, and PS VR systems, bundles, DualShock 4 Wireless Controllers, vouchers, and physical games.

ALSO: Mafia 4 or Mafia 2 Remastered may be in development

The current physical game selection is somewhat on the short side, but PlayStation is going to expand it further down the line. With digital taking over physical, this is great news for players who want to proudly display their games collection on a shelf. PlayStation mentions that the prices from the online store are in tune with what players may find at other retailers.

Although it’s still unconfirmed, it’s highly likely that the store will also offer preorders with enticing bonuses, with The Last of Us 2 surely being one of the most sought-after games.

The current physical disc games offer includes the following:

  • Astro Bot: Rescue Mission ($19.99)
  • Blood & Truth ($39.99)
  • Bloodborne (PlayStation Hits) ($19.99)
  • Days Gone ($39.99)
  • Everybody’s Golf VR ($29.99)
  • Farpoint ($19.99)
  • God of War 3 Remastered (PlayStation Hits) ($19.99)

The PlayStation online store has one incentive that may convince many US-based players to lean towards it: Free 1-day express shipping for PlayStation Plus members, something that will surely appeal to many.

To celebrate the launch of the new store, there is a limited-time offer running until October 31, 2019, with two PlayStation 4 and PS Plus subscription bundles selling at a discounted price. These are the offers:

  • PlayStation 4 + a 12-month subscription of PS Plus for $339.99 USD (regularly $359.98 USD)
