Nintendo Switch Online SNES game list revealed, will be released soon

It’s finally happened. Nintendo Switch Online will finally be getting Super Nintendo games. Fans have been clamoring for a full virtual console experience, and the addition to SNES games, as announced at today’s Nintendo Direct, to the Nintendo Switch Online library brings us one step closer.

Starting on September 5, Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can access a library of 20 SNES games. The list of Switch SNES games is:

  • Breath of Fire
  • Demon’s Crest
  • F-ZERO
  • Joe & Mac 2: Lost in the Tropics
  • Kirby’s Dream Course
  • Kirby’s Dream Land 3
  • Pilotwings
  • Star Fox
  • Stunt Race FX
  • SUPER E.D.F. EARTH DEFENSE FORCE
  • Super Ghouls ’n Ghosts
  • Super Mario Kart
  • Super Mario World
  • Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island
  • Super Metroid
  • Super Puyo Puyo 2
  • Super Soccer
  • Super Tennis
  • The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

Super Nintendo Entertainment System Nintendo Switch Online

These are only the initial offerings, and more SNES games will come to Nintendo Switch Online as time goes on. All these games have the same functionality offered by the NES library, so you can use save states and rewind to make the experience more enjoyable.

If you want to get an authentic-feeling experience, Nintendo is offering a SNES Switch controller which will perfectly emulate the feeling of an original SNES controller while offering the convenience of wireless play. The controller will be available directly from Nintendo and will cost $29.99

Star Citizen is an upcoming space trading and combat simulator video game for Microsoft Windows. Star Citizen will consist of two main components: first person space combat and trading in a massively multiplayer persistent universe and customizable private servers (known as Star Citizen), and a branching single-player game (known as Squadron 42).
