The Witcher 3 Switch release date wasn’t the only thing that CD Projekt Red decided to reveal during Gamescom 2019’s Opening Night Live. Albeit in a more secretive manner, a new The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Switch gameplay video was shown to the masses. Community Manager Pawel Burza, and Lead Quest Designer Pawel Sasko (who now has the same assignment in Cyberpunk 2077) are in the video that walks us through roughly 40 minutes of new The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt gameplay.

Geralt of Rivia starts the gameplay video setting out to meet the knights from Toussaint in Holloway. This area was added to the game with the release of the Blood and Wine expansion, turning a huge game into a colossal experience.
Considering that the Nintendo Switch doesn’t have the powerful specs of the other platforms where The Witcher 3 was released, you can’t expect this version to offer the same graphical fidelity. Nonetheless, the game looks familiar, and seems to retain the sense of venturing through a sprawling and beautiful world.
The Corvo Bianco Vineyard highlights the beautiful vegetation and design, if you manage to look past the corpses and all the blood staining the area. This is part of the Beast of Toussaint quest, where monster slayer Geralt is going to face a blood drenched and nude Bruxa. This is an M-rated game, after all.
It’s worth noting that Nintendo Switch players can purchase The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Complete Edition digitally or in retail, as soon as it launches on October 15, 2019. This edition comes with the base game, the two massive story expansions Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, as well as the 16 free DLCs. This amounts to over 150 hours of gameplay in one of the most positively received RPGs of all time.
