Stadia Connect returns this month just before Gamescom

Looks like more information about Google’s upcoming Stadia game streaming service is underway. Similar to June’s reveals, Stadia Connect is coming back with even more announcements, and you won’t have to wait too long to get the latest update.

Announced on Twitter via the official Google Stadia account, the next Stadia Connect will occur on August 19, 2019, at 10 AM PDT / 7 PM CEST, and will be “bigger than ever.” With Gamescom beginning just a few days after—open from August 21 to August 24 for the public—attendees will be able to get their hands on the “future of gaming” at Stadia’s booth. Specifics on what will be at the booth have yet to be revealed, but surely, some of that information may come from this Connect.

The Stadia Connect is essentially Google’s version of the Nintendo Direct in terms of how the company formats its announcements. It is a pre-recorded video that reveals all the new information for the upcoming game streaming platform. In June’s Stadia Connect, Google revealed the price and some of the games you can expect to play on the streaming platform. You can use this handy guide to see exactly how much the service costs, as well as the Stadia controllers that were revealed during the stream. When August 19 rolls around, you can catch the Stadia Connect live on YouTube.

An exact release date has yet to be announced, but you can expect to stream some of your favorite games on Google Stadia in November. One company that seems to be playing ball with Google is Ubisoft. The game company’s upcoming subscription service UPlay Plus will be coming to Stadia, bringing over 100 games to the upcoming streaming platform. This includes a number of entries from Ubisoft’s most popular franchises such as Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell.
