Super Motherload Digs Up PS4 Release This Year

XGen Studios announced today that Super Motherload (one of my favorite games at GDC) will be carving a path deep into Planet PlayStation's core. PS3, PS4, and PC gamers will get to tear up the surface (and depths) of Mars with friends by the end of 2013.

CEO Skye Boyes said in the release announcing the news that "In addition to the ample feature set and gameplay planned for the PS3, we're leveraging some very interesting new capabilities of the PS4."

Speaking of Sony Computer Entertainment's indie outreach, Boyes added that "it's clear from the interaction we've had with them that they intend to support smaller developers such as ourselves."

Will we find out more about PlayStation 4's indie-friendly push at E3? What are the new capabilities and how do they play into Super Motherload's highly addictive nature? When will this E3 madness ever end?

Erm, probably by Friday next week.
