Report: Prey 2 Development Now At Dishonored Developer Arkane Studios

Despite first debuting Prey 2 in 2011, Bethesda has remained summarily quiet about the game's development progress, even responding to cancellation rumors with a confirmed delay, but reports now suggest that Arkane Austin is at the helm.

An anonymous tipster informed Alien Noire (and apparently Kotaku too) that the makers of Dishonored have been given Prey 2 for ongoing development. What's more, this individual also claims that Obsidian (Fallout: New Vegas) and other Bethesda studio Rebellion (Rogue Warrior) have worked on the project recently.

This means that Arkane Lyon will continue developing Dishonored as a franchise, while Arkane Austin beings new Prey 2 development, despite a lack of enthusiasm at the studio for the project. With development reportedly starting over, Bethesda doesn't anticipate a release until 2016.

Of course this could all be bull sh**, but it's less than two weeks until E3. You didn't think the rumor mill would stop now, did you?
