Professor Lupo and his Horrible Pets release date revealed

The Professor Lupo and his Horrible Pets release date has finally been revealed and it is surprisingly coming out quite soon. The narrative-driven space adventure from the indie development studio BeautiFun Games is set to launch on July 11 on the Switch and Steam for $14.99. In this game, players will get to step into the shoes of an unfortunate intern in a space station full of escaped, angry animals.

Aboard the Aurora Space Station, Professor Lupo keeps his collection of so-called horrible pets. These alien creatures look cuddly and adorable when left alone, but turn monstrous when they sense prey nearby. Things go downhill quickly on the Aurora as the Professor is making his way back to Earth to sell the aliens at auction. All of the creatures escape and begin ransacking the space station while unknown outside forces attack the Aurora. Being Professor Lupo’s personal intern, it’s your job to clean up the mess.

Professor Lupo and his Horrible Pets has 100 story-driven levels with clever puzzles and a humorous, though suspenseful, storyline, all delivered by the studio behind Nihilumbra. Observe the aliens and learn their behavior to live to see the end of your internship. It’s fully voice acted and apparently has over 12 hours of gameplay.

Both versions of the game give players the freedom to play how they want, where they want. The Steam version allows for traditional point-and-click controls, keyboard controls, or the use of a Steam controller. On Switch, players can use the Joy-Cons, gamepads, or screen to navigate the space station. The Switch version also works on TV, tabletop, and portable modes so you can take your aliens on the go.

If you are interested in the game, it’s available to preload right now. If you do, you’ll get it for a discounted price of $12.74 instead of the standard price of $14.99.
