Google Stadia gamertag

Google Stadia gamertag changes will be unlimited

During an E3 2019, Patrick Seybold, the head of communications for Stadia, revealed that Google Stadia gamertag changes would be unlimited. While Seybold didn’t reveal if all of these Stadia gamertag changes would be free or not, he did say that Stadia users would be able to change their name as many times as they would like.

Despite Seybold’s interview with PCGamesN, there aren’t a lot of details currently available about Stadia, so hopefully, we will get some more information on exactly how Google Stadia gamertag changes will work in the future.

The biggest question that remains regarding the Google Stadia gamertag changes is if they will be free. For example, Xbox and PlayStation both require a small fee if players want to change their gamertag. While Steam gamertag changes are free even if it is only the name you display. Either way, all three gaming platforms would allow a player to get rid of their juvenile gamertag if they so choose.

While a lot of details are still unknown about Google Stadia, Google held a press conference the week before E3 2019. It included a lot of details about the Stadia price, release date, and more. In fact, some fans will be able to get their hands on Google Stadia this year.

It may not seem like a big deal that players will be able to change their Google Stadia gamertag changes as many times as they want, but PlayStation fans might have a different say. In fact, just a few months ago, PlayStation players were unable to change their gamertags without creating a new account. This means that those players who went with the gamertag “TeaBagDaddy69” were unable to change their name once they realized their fatal mistake. It wasn’t until April 2019 that PlayStation users were freed from their original gamertag. Thankfully, this won’t be the case for Google Stadia.
