Last month, Bandai Namco announced that the Switch version of God Eater 3 would be getting a demo. Now, the company has revealed the God Eater 3 Switch demo release date, at least for Japan.
The official Japanese God Eater Twitter account announced that the demo for the Nintendo Switch version of God Eater 3 will arrive in Japan on Thursday, June 27. This gives interested players a couple of weeks to try the game out before the Switch version hits stores on July 12.
Aside from the release date, the announcement didn’t really reveal much about the God Eater 3 demo on Switch. The tweet simply said that players would be able to use the game’s character creator and then take their created character out on some missions.
This sounds similar to the PlayStation 4 demo that Bandai Namco released last January. The PS4 demo let players try out four Field Training missions and three normal missions from the game’s early chapters.
Bandai Namco notably released the PlayStation 4 demo for God Eater 3 in regions outside Japan. With this in mind, it’s possible that the Switch demo will get released outside the country as well.
Aside from the release date, the developers at Bandai Namco also announced that they would also be hosting a live stream for the game on July 27. While the date most likely means that the live stream will focus on the Switch demo, it’s possible that they’ll talk about the game’s upcoming 1.40 update as well.
The God Eater 3 1.40 update will bring in new Time Attack Missions while also adding a number of quality-of-life changes to the game. Bandai Namco has stated that the update will arrive sometime early summer, so it could possibly launch alongside the Nintendo Switch version. More importantly, Bandai Namco has also confirmed that this will not be the last update for the game, which should be good news for anyone just picking it up on the Nintendo Switch.
