Final Fantasy 7 gets combat gameplay trailer, first episode focuses on Midgar, spans 2 Blu-rays

The first episode of Final Fantasy 7 Remake will focus on Midgar. It was announced at the E3 2019 confernece that Midgar will be the focus of the first game in the FF7 Remake series and it will span two Blu-rays. We also got our first in-depth look at combat gameplay.

The combat will be similar to that in Final Fantasy 15, but will introduce a new form of the Active Time Battle (ATB) system which will give players more tactical choices during a fight.

Fans can look forward to completing the journey through Midgar to the Northern Crater (twice) in a single game. No awkward endings and another five-year wait.

You can play Final Fantasy 7 Remake on PS4 when it releases on March 3, 2020.
