The Elder Scrolls Blades YouTube dislikes

The Elder Scrolls Blades YouTube dislikes point towards a disgruntled community

The Elder Scrolls Blades YouTube dislikes currently outnumber likes on the game’s Nintendo Switch trailer by a two-to-one margin. It appears that fans are somewhat disgruntled about this mobile game from The Elder Scrolls franchise and they have elected to express their dissatisfaction in the time-honored way of smashing the dislike button on YouTube.

“Hell yeah more mobile games on the switch thats what we are all waiting for,” read one YouTube comment on the game’s Nintendo Switch trailer. Several other comments noted that players were puzzled by the choice of this game coming to the Nintendo Switch instead of much more beloved Bethesda titles like Fallout: New Vegas or The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

The Elder Scrolls Blades YouTube dislikes currently sit at over 1,000 at the time of writing, while the number of likes stands at 578.

Comments on the Reddit /r/Games submission for the trailer were similarly negative.

“DO NOT GET THIS GAME,” stated a comment from /u/Espressojet on the /r/Games submission for the game’s Nintendo Switch trailer. “It is a garbage cash grab relying on the lack of a recent definitive Elder Scrolls game. Seriously NOT WORTH YOUR TIME.”

Although The Elder Scrolls Blades YouTube dislikes show a clear indication that the community is upset, a bunch of positive news about the game was already released yesterday alongside the announcement that the game was coming to the Nintendo Switch for free. Players who log into the game on iOS or Android during E3 will receive two free items depending on their platform and 200 Gems.

What’s more, the next update for The Elder Scrolls Blades has already been launched. It contains a new Dragon questline, new Jobs for players to undertake, and new jewelry that can be crafted or purchased. Unfortunately, these new features apparently aren’t enough to quell the discontent of Bethesda fans.
