E3 2019 | Dragon Ball Z Kakarot is the official title for Project Z

During the Microsoft E3 2019 conference, a brand new Dragon Ball Z game was announced. Formerly known as Dragon Ball Project Zthe new game was given an official name during the conference, Dragon Ball Z Kakarot. This is the latest addition to the Dragon Ball Z franchise. Along with the new name, a Dragon Ball Z Kakarot release date was also announced during the Microsoft E3 conference which will force fans to wait a bit until they are able to get their hands on the upcoming title.

The Dragon Ball Z Kakarot release date has been confirmed for early 2020. While fans weren’t given any more specific details about the release, it is nice to know it will be coming in the near future to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. However, this is pretty much all that is known for now, but more information will undoubtedly be coming in the future!

The new trailer shows Goku and some other beloved franchise characters. The Xbox team elected to not say much more about the upcoming title, and will likely save any major announcements until it gets closer to the 2020 release date. Despite a new trailer, fans will definitely still have tons of questions.

The new Dragon Ball Z game was originally announced back in January 2019 and was codenamed Project Z. It is an action RPG that is being published by Bandai Namco. Previous trailers have shown Goku coming up against Piccolo, Frieza, and others. This new trailer was the first look at the new game that fans have gotten since January.

While details were a bit skimpy, the Microsoft E3 2019 conference did confirm that the codenamed Dragon Ball Z game was officially titled Dragon Ball X Kakarot and that it would be coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC in early 2020.
