E3 2019 | Watch Dogs Legion release date and gameplay trailer revealed

We knew it was coming but, still, it was nice to have confirmation: The Watch Dogs Legion release date of March 6, 2020 has been announced during Ubisoft’s E3 2019 conference. What’s more, we even got a gameplay trailer, showing off the infinitely interesting permadeath feature and even the Watch Dogs Legion setting of jolly old London.

Of course, with the recent Watch Dogs Legion leaks, this is hardly new news, but it’s nice to see the game in all of its glory, especially as Watch Dogs 2 was vastly underappreciated by many.

So, that’s another 2019 title you can add to the wish list. That’s because the Watch Dogs Legion release date is set for March 6, 2020, though you can get it three days early if you “pre-order now.”

The setting, meanwhile, will probably cause some stirring debate, particularly if Ubisoft takes an apolitical stance to the game formerly known as Watch Dogs 3. We’re in what is clearly a post-Brexit dystopian London that’s been ravaged by time and, probably, a lack of milkshakes.

For now, we can skip that conversation and revel in the ridiculously-cool antics that were shown in the trailer, including DedSec’s uprising against oppressive forces via the medium of an old gran called Helen. We stan Helen now.
