metro exodus expansion pass

Metro Exodus Expansion Pass DLC revealed

Ready to return underground? The Metro Exodus Expansion Pass DLC revealed the two new storylines players will experience in the wastelands of post-apocalyptic Russia. Both are new stories continuing in the world of Metro, but we’re putting aside Artyom and experiencing the lives of both a brand-new character and an American Spartan Ranger.

The first of the two story-driven expansions is set to release this summer. The Two Colonels is set in the tunnels below the ravaged city of Novosibirsk.

It follows Colonel Khlebnikov as he attempts to make his way home to his son, Kirill. The destruction of the city is rampant. Mutants are attacking everyone they see, slime oozes throughout the tunnels, and the only medicine staving off the horrendous radiation poisoning is in low supply. The linear, story-driven chapter is a tense and moving look back at the last living days of Novosibirsk, told through the Colonel’s eyes one year later. For extra help fighting mutants in the dark subterranean environment, a flamethrower is now available.

The second story will release in early 2020. This tale’s protagonist is the Aurora’s only American. A United States Marine, Sam was stationed at the Moscow embassy before the bombing. He has held on to hope, however faint, that his family back in the states might still be alive. Sam sets off, determined to find a way back to the USA. His search takes him to what’s left of the coastal city of Vladivostok. The once-mighty city is a heap of crumbling ruins and rotting buildings. Players will need to keep their wits about them as Sam navigates through the landscape of  Russian wastelands, using every survival tool they know to find their way home.

The Metro Exodus Expansion Pass is available for preorder on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One.
