This video goes inside Sony's new Brazillian… er, factory. You know, the big building where people assemble brand new PS3s for gamers all around the world. You can see the different components getting slapped together, the varying work stations, and PS3 guts everywhere.
Seriously, it's like walking into a video game slaughter house. This is much more disturbing than I thought it would be! Still, all the busy bees flying around help the process to put me at ease. It's reassuring that these Brazillian workers seem happy and eager to be working on PlayStations. I'd also love to see the different stress tests the PS3 is put through, but that's not present in this video.
It makes me wonder if I could do it. I think we take for granted everything that goes into making our favorite toys. I would love to go to a factory and try my hand at making a console myself. It'd be the only special edition I'd ever need.
